GenoPro - GEDCOM Import/Export

Gedcom import is included in version 1.52 as a sneak preview of version 2.0.   So far, only a few Gedcom keywords are imported and the AutoArrange feature is limited.  If you are importing a large Gedcom file, you may find the generated layout does not look so good.  I am working on this and need more time to improve the AutoArrange.

Known problems:

The AutoArrange produces an ugly genealogy tree.
The AutoArrange feature was added to import Gedcom files.  If you are using the AutoArrange feature with a large genealogy tree, you may get a strange layout with long horizontal and vertical lines.  I am working on improving the logic of the AutoArrange.  If you don't like the layout, simply click on the Undo button.

Unable to Scroll or Print a large genealogy tree.
Large Gedcom files produce large trees.  GenoPro is limited to coordinates between -32,768 and +32,767 on Windows 95 and Windows 98. If you are having problems scrolling or printing a large tree, click here.

Gedcom features to implement:

• AutoArrange a subtree. AutoArrange only selected objects instead of arranging the entire tree.
• AutoArrange multiple marriages.  The AutoArrange does not sort marriages from first to last as described in Tutorials and Samples.
• Import more Gedcom keywords.  I have the complete documentation of the Gedcom 5.5 Standard (from ftp.gedcom.org/pub/genealogy)
• Export Gedcom. Convert a GenoPro document into a Gedcom file.
